1. Improved site search with autocomplete functionality: The app now features intelligent search with autocomplete suggestions, displaying results dynamically as installers type and supporting partial name matches for faster site search.

   

2. Regional inventory protection (coming soon): To prevent geographical arbitrage, enhanced location validation will be implemented soon. The system verifies serial numbers against installation country locations to ensure devices are activated in their intended markets.

3. IQ Gateway update and replacement process: The app now automatically initiates cloud upgrades when installing new gateways with older firmware and manages the entire replacement process with status notifications and guided workflow.

   

4. Homeowner access management: Email changes for homeowner accounts are restricted after six months of system operation. To change ownership, homeowners must use the Transfer of Ownership service. Learn more about Transfer of Ownership.
5. Production meter enablement: Automated meter state management now disables production meters when microinverters are first added and requires revalidation for existing system configurations.
6. CT configuration flexibility: The app now allows switching between Load only and Load with solar modes during CT configuration without restarting the wizard.

For North America, Mexico, and Puerto Rico installers:

1. Battery configuration enhancement: Improved guidance for battery breaker configuration and oversubscription settings prevents mismatches between DER port selection and battery breaker details.

   

2. Storage CT validation: New jumper cable detection in the storage CT wizard checks L2 voltage before battery charge test to prevent misconfiguration and ensure proper system setup.

   

3. PV breaker monitoring: The enhanced monitoring system provides clear wiring instructions and automatically clears errors once proper connections are verified.

   

For APAC and EMEA installers:

1. Phase sequence validation: The app now includes a step to verify the grid-side wiring of the IQ System Controller for the correct phase sequence. This check is mandatory for three-phase backup sites.

2. Upload IQ System Controller checklist: The app advises installers to upload wiring and checklist images of the IQ System Controller for future system diagnostics.

   

3. IQ Gateway replacement flow enhancement: The streamlined gateway replacement process in the EMEA/APAC regions now offers clear choices between system extension and replacement with automated validation checks.

   

4. Power Export Limit updates: Power control settings have been reorganized with improved PEL configuration for IQ7 systems and streamlined access to ţţ�㷨 Power Control features.

   

5. Dynamic Load Balancing for IQ EV Charger: The app now supports configuration and power limiting for IQ EV Chargers through dynamic load balancing. The grid interconnection capacity field is mandatory for this feature.

   

6. IQ Energy Router system flexibility: IQ Energy Router support has been extended to allow IQ Battery installations with third-party string inverters, removing the requirement for ţţ�㷨 microinverters.
7. IQ Combiner Lite management: The app now implements specific microinverter quantity limits based on inverter models, with automated validation during system configuration.
8. Consumption meter validation: The ability to use Expert Mode has been removed when polarity issues or zero readings are detected in Consumption CT.

What’s fixed

• Device replacement validation: Enhanced security checks during device replacement now validate if devices are already commissioned on other sites before allowing replacement, preventing duplicate installations.

What’s new

For all installers:

1. Advanced meter readings from Production and Consumption CTs

   • Installers can now view advanced readings, such as Power Factor, on the Meter Configuration page by selecting View Advanced Readings.

    

2. Enable production meter after adding microinverters
    
   • If microinverters are added for the first time, the consumption and production meters will be disabled. If the installer had previously enabled the meters before adding the microinverters, they will need to re-validate them.

3. Ability to change Consumption CT measuring input

   • Installers can now change the Consumption CT configuration between Load only and Load with solar modes while navigating through the wizard.

   

For North America installers:

1. Set the default battery mode setting (in Illinois)

   The ţţ�㷨 Installer App will automatically set the relevant battery mode based on the grid connection type chosen by the installer. 

For APAC and EMEA installers:

1. Commission the IQ Battery 5P with FlexPhase system in backup and grid-tied mode (in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland)
    
   • Depending on the availability of the new devices, installers can now commission the IQ Battery 5P with FlexPhase, configured as three-phase, for both backup and grid-tied setups.

2. Commission IQ EV Charger 2 in Europe (country-specific) from the ţţ�㷨 Installer App

   • The installer can now commission IQ EV Charger 2 in Europe (country-specific) directly from the ţţ�㷨 Installer App. The installer can commission, retire, and set ţţ�㷨 Power Control to adhere to the grid connection rating.

   

What’s fixed

• The message in one of the Consumption CT wizard's steps has been updated to provide clearer information on the system's behavior.

1. Enhancements to post-commissioning steps
    

   • The ţţ�㷨 Installer App will collapse the commissioning steps after commissioning is complete, making the Monitor and Service menus more prominent.

     

2. Interactive demo guide 
    
   • The new App Demo card in the Support section provides access to an interactive guide that demonstrates the features and workflows of the ţţ�㷨 Installer App.

   • This includes configuration-specific demos for different markets, helping installers learn the basic functions of the app.

     

3. Enhanced microinverter communication status
    

   • A near real-time (3-5 minutes) grid-voltage display for each microinverter is now provided to verify that the wiring is done correctly.

     

4. Automatic gateway software updates
    

   • A mandatory gateway software auto-download is triggered when logging into the ţţ�㷨 Installer App. This ensures the latest gateway software is available for commissioning.

     

For installers in North America:

1. Support for Net Metering in Illinois
    
   • For installers commissioning sites in Illinois, the ţţ�㷨 Installer App will allow them to Select Grid Connection Type.

   • Installers can access a guide that helps them select the correct grid connection type.

      

2. Mandatory gateway software upgrade for gateway replacement
    
   • The ţţ�㷨 Installer App will suggest mandatory gateway software upgrades during the IQ Gateway replacement process if the replaced gateway is on a higher version than the new gateway.
3. Commissioning California 208 V sites with IQ Battery 5P 
    

   • In California, installers can now commission the IQ Battery 5P on sites with single-phase 208 V, i.e., 120 V L-N, 208 V L-L, and a 3-wire grid supply.

     Note: The IQ Battery 5P operates as a non-backup or grid-tied battery on single-phase 208 V supplies. It should not be mistaken for a three-phase 208Y/120 V 4-wire supply, as the IQ Battery 5P does not support 208Y/120 V 4-wire supplies.

4. Busbar Overload Control for Main Panel Upgrade Avoidance (MPUA)
    
   • Installers will now have an additional software option called Busbar Overload Control on the Main Panel Upgrade Avoidance page.

   • This control allows installers to accurately control the charge and discharge of the IQ Batteries based on the component size of the main panel.

     

5. IQ8P Microinverter (IQ8P-72-2-US) commissioning in Mexico 
    
   • The IQ8P Microinverter is incompatible with three-phase residential and commercial sites using 220Y/127 V 4-wire grid supply in Mexico. The ţţ�㷨 Installer App will block the addition of IQ8P Microinverters for such systems.

For APAC and EMEA installers:

1. The ţţ�㷨 Installer App will support connections with utility servers in South Australia and Victoria.

2. Automatically select the consumption phases in the consumption meter wizard when the installer chooses and activates the three-phase production meters.

   

For IQ EV Charger installations:

1. Improved EV charger integration
    
   • Installers can now integrate EV chargers in the ţţ�㷨 System and validate their functioning using the ţţ�㷨 Installer App.
2. Main Breaker Trip Avoidance (MBTA)
    
   • Installers can now enable and configure dynamic load balancing and prevent the main breaker from tripping by limiting the IQ EV Charger capacity during usage.

1. Improved battery readiness detection during functional validation.
2. Updated PLC noise measurement units for better accuracy.

For all installers:

1. Consumption meter validation 
    
   • While enabling a consumption meter, the ţţ�㷨 Installer App will check if the production readings are captured correctly in the production meter for different consumption meter locations (Load with solar or Load only).
   • If a wiring error is detected, installers will be blocked from enabling the consumption meter and instructed to fix the error.
2. Ability to enable consumption meters in low light conditions 
    
   • Installers will be allowed to enable consumption meters even in low light conditions with low solar power production.
3. Production meters cannot be enabled with erroneous phase configuration  
    
   • Installers will be blocked from enabling a production meter when they mistakenly select a three-phase site configuration as single-phase instead of three-phase. 

For installers in the United States commissioning Off-Grid only sites: 

1. ţţ�㷨 Installer App now allows Off-Grid only commissioning 
    
   • Installers will be allowed to commission Off-Grid ţţ�㷨 Systems.  
   • Installers are required to complete training to perform the wiring and commissioning of Off-Grid configurations. Click to access the required training

For installers in Europe commissioning IQ Energy Routers:  
 

1. IQ Energy Router improvements 
    
   • The ţţ�㷨 Installer App will automatically establish communication between the IQ Energy Router and the IQ Gateway when an old IQ Gateway is replaced with a new IQ Gateway.
   • The new IQ Gateway should be connected to the same network as the IQ Energy Router.

1. Change in System Type, permitting, and PV Module details

   The ţţ�㷨 Installer App will require installers to update the System Type, permitting, and PV Module details in Step 1 (System Details) of the commissioning process.

   It is recommended that site creation (Step 1) be completed using the new activation form in the ţţ�㷨 Installer Portal.

   

   Note: Support for the classic activation page will be removed in the coming weeks.

2. Ability to create an array without scanning microinverters

   Installers will now be able to create an array for an ţţ�㷨 system before scanning microinverters. Alternatively, installers can access the Array Builder from the IQ Microinverters details screen.

   

For installers in North America:

1. Support for Busbar Overload Control in Main Panel Upgrade Avoidance 

   Installers will be able to enable and configure Busbar Overload Control inside Main Panel Upgrade Avoidance, in addition to the Current Limit with NEC 120% Rule.

   

For installers in Australia and New Zealand:

1. Option to skip meter wizard steps for backup system commissioning

   Installers will be allowed to skip the Production Meter and Consumption Meter sub-steps in the validation step if they are commissioning a backup system with an IQ System Controller INT.

   We have added guidelines for the recommended wiring procedure for an IQ Battery 3T/10T.

   These guidelines appear in a pop-up that also links to the latest IQ Battery 3T/10 quick install guide, as well as a short training video demonstrating , if further instruction is needed.

   The pop-up will be shown whenever an IQ Battery 3T/10T is scanned.

1. Commissioning ţţ�㷨 Systems with multiple IQ Gateways is now improved.
   
   a. The installer can associate specific devices with each IQ Gateway.
   
   
   
   b. The installer can easily change the Ensemble IQ Gateway that is associated with specific ţţ�㷨 System devices.
   
   
   
   c. The installer can easily move other devices (microinverters, AC batteries, and IQ Relays) between IQ Gateways.
   
   
   
   d. For multi-gateway systems, the requirement to create and assign microinverter arrays has been removed.
   
   e. The installer no longer needs to create and associate IQ Gateways and microinverters with an array for commissioning. Note that it is still required to create arrays for the array builder feature.
   
   

2. Easily access recently updated commissioning guides and other relevant documents directly from the ţţ�㷨 Installer App.
   
   

3. The grid profile selection has been improved by adding labels to identify recommended and default profiles. Additionally, when the installer’s selection differs from the recommended grid profile for a location, a prompt message is displayed to select the recommended profile.
   
   

4. Installers can now search for sites using different criteria, and the search speed has improved.

Features available to only ţţ�㷨 System users

1. Installers can now delete IQ Batteries and IQ System Controllers from the system if they have not been provisioned.

2. For systems with a generator, the ţţ�㷨 Installer App will now always display the generator icon in the live view.

3. Improved IQ Gateway update process:
   
   a. To avoid confusion, the ţţ�㷨 Installer App will not allow installers to start the update if the previous update attempt is still in progress.
   
   b. The ţţ�㷨 Installer App will inform installers about the reasons for update failures.

4. Installers will now get errors and steps for rectification if a PV breaker is turned off in the IQ System Controller.

Bug fixes

1. Fixed an issue where Step 2b in the ţţ�㷨 Installer App was incorrectly shown as completed when no auxiliary contacts were configured.

2. Fixed an issue where the ţţ�㷨 Installer App did not allow the meter wizard to be enabled if the CT had a polarity issue.

3. Fixed an issue where the ţţ�㷨 Installer App incorrectly tried to perform a grid transition when the IQ Batteries were not ready, in cases where a generator was installed.

4. Fixed an issue where the ţţ�㷨 Installer App wrongly asked to enable the production CT for a system with an IQ Battery and a third-party PV.

5. Fixed an issue where in some commissioned sites, the ţţ�㷨 Installer App wrongly unretired non-storage devices (ACB, microinverters, IQ Relay, Range Extender, and Load Controller).

6. Fixed an iOS issue where the ţţ�㷨 Installer App kept reloading the screen when the installer tried to enter a site created on the ţţ�㷨 Installer Platform.

7. Fixed an issue where IQ Batteries were not getting provisioned due to EC Relay being open if the IQ System Controller 2 was provisioned on a previous date, but the meters were not enabled.

Features available to all Installer App users:

1. The ţţ�㷨 Installer App will disable the “Join Online” button on the IQ Gateway connectivity screen if the IQ Gateway is restarting because of an update. This is done to prevent simultaneous updates and reduces the potential for errors.

   

    

2. Improved instructions are now available to help installers connect the new IQ Gateway to the ţţ�㷨 Platform before submitting a replacement request.

   

    

3. The ţţ�㷨 App provides an option to reverse polarity if the readings are negative in the production meter.

   

    

Features available to ţţ�㷨 System users:

1. Improved messaging in the Installer App for RSD connection in IQ System Controller.

   

    

2. Installer App now checks if the IQ Gateway is connected to the breaker in System Controller 2. The Installer App blocks and provides instructions on how to rectify faulty wiring in case of installation error.

   

    

3. The Installer App will now wait for the IQ System Controller to complete grid profile propagation before allowing functional validation to continue.

Features available to all EMEA users:

1. For grid-tied IQ Battery sites, the Installer App will not disable the meters during the retrofit commissioning process.

2. For grid-tied IQ Battery sites, the app will conduct the following meter checks:
   a. The polarity check for the production and consumption meter (will not allow the user to skip this step).
   b. When the reading is zero (will also not allow the user to skip).

   

    

3. User can now add custom details for string inverters in storage-only installations.

   Bug fixes:

   • Fixed the issue of IQ Gateway restarting after commissioning.

   • Fixed the issue where the Installer App was not directing user on how to connect the new IQ Gateway to the ţţ�㷨 Cloud during replacement.

   • Fixed the issue where functional validation was stuck and grid transition was not happening.

   • Fixed the issue where the Installer App was incorrectly showing the status of the ţţ�㷨 System software update as “Not Started” in non-AP mode.

   • Fixed the issue where the Installer App incorrectly disabled the meter if the IQ Battery is added to an existing PV system leading to eSW upgrade from 5.X to 7.X.

   • Other bug fixes and improvements to enhance stability and security.

Features available to all ITK users

1. In order to avoid scanning an incorrect bar code, the ţţ�㷨 Installer App will now allow users to scan only when the camera is aimed at barcodes and will give an indication which bar code is being read.

   

2. Installers will now receive important commissioning information through push notifications on Android and iOS.

3. Installers can now view commissioning walkthrough videos directly within the app. The link to see the video is Support -> Video Library

   

4. For a multi-IQ Gateway site, Installer Toolkit will remind users to
   a. Create arrays
   b. Assign microinverters to array
   c. Assign arrays to IQ Gateway before provisioning

   

5. Grid profile improvements:
   a. The ţţ�㷨 Installer App will now display the most common grid profiles with an option to view/select all grid profiles if needed
   b. Installers can also search and filter grid profiles applicable to specific states and country

1. The user can now enter any String Inverters and do not have to choose the device type from a finite list

   

2. ţţ�㷨 Installer App will now provide more information to users while provisioning ţţ�㷨 energy systems.

   

3. When the ESS is updating, a message is presented to inform users not to power cycle the devices.

   

4. For Grid tied IQ batteries in ITALY,
   a. The user can now only select ‘Self-Consumption’
   b. The App will set battery mode to ‘Self-Consumption’ with 100% SOC during consumption meter wizard

5. The Enfluri test during functional validation will now be conducted only for Grid-Tied IQ8 battery sites in Germany and Belgium.

6. If the site already has pre-installed third party PVs, the app will inform users to use a second pair of consumption CTs.<

   

7. The app will remind Installers to connect the L1 and L2 wires correctly from the grid through the Main Service Panel, IQ System Controller to the Combiner.

• Fixed the issue where uploading grid profile failed from the Installer App for a PV only system.
• Fixed the issue where incorrect provisioning state is shown due to micros not reporting in ţţ�㷨 storage systems.

• Fixed the issue where Installer App incorrectly asks installer to update PV only systems in EMEA if the string inverter checkbox is checked. Now the update is necessary only when string inverter details are added.

Features available to ţţ�㷨 Storage users

1. For a system with new IQ System Controller 2 devices, the Installer App will remind the users to connect IQ Gateway to breakers in the IQ System Controller 2. The user can easily verify if the connections are correct by following the instructions shown in the Installer App.

   

2. The Installer App will inform users to turn OFF the PV breakers in the combiner and not to use breakers in system controller when enabling “generator” meters.

   

3. The Installer App will inform users to connect Rapid Shut Down switch only after all the breakers in the combiner are turned OFF.

• Fixed the issue where Installer App incorrectly showing provisioning as incomplete in commissioning steps screen even when the provisioning was successful

• Fixed the issue of the Installer app wrongly showing the ‘Comms kit as not ready’ message before provisioning. The user will now be able to provision storage devices immediately after connecting Comms kit to IQ Gateway.

Feature available to all ITK users

• Installers commissioning a PV only system with IQ7/IQ6 or M-series microinverters will now be asked the model of cell modem connected. Since the ţţ�㷨 cell modem only works with IQ Gateway software version 6.0.0 and above, the Installer app will now mandate the IQ Gateway software update for the site.

Features available for all users   

1. ţţ�㷨 Installer App (Toolkit) will now directly take the user to ‘Envoy scanning screen’ after adding the Envoy count. Also, the ţţ�㷨 Installer App will remind the users to add the missing devices.

    

    

   

2. Installers can now view Enlighten system details and check array view from main site details page by clicking ‘View System in Enlighten’ 

   

Features available for all ţţ�㷨 Storage Installation users

1. Installing IQ8 Microinverters with IQ System Controller/IQ Battery will now require completion of IQ8 certification training. There is no training required for commissioning of IQ8 Grid-tied systems.

   

2. The ţţ�㷨 Installer App will now remind users to turn ON the IQ Battery DC switch before starting functional validation. 

   

3. ţţ�㷨 Installer App will now display warning if the Comms kit connected to Envoy is faulty. The users can retry by re-plugging in the device. If the issue persists, the Comms kit needs to be replaced.                           

   

4. It is necessary to disable manual override on IQ System Controller before provisioning. If the user accidentally left the manual override enabled when provisioning IQ System Controller, the app will automatically disable the manual override and reset the device after provisioning is complete.  

   

5. You can now replace the IQ System Controller and IQ8 Batteries in the site by going to ‘Request return and Install replacement’ section. 

   

   

   The ţţ�㷨 Installer App will also now provide an option to update the Envoy software before submitting the Envoy replacement request. 

   
   
   

    

6. Improvements to ‘Sunlight Backup’ systems (systems with IQ8 and no batteries)

   1. Sunlight Backup systems will require 2 ţţ�㷨 IQ Load Controllers and one aux contact configured for load shedding.

      

   2. Installers will be given additional instruction to configure NC1 and NO2 Aux contacts which include 
      1. Always connect non-heavy loads on NC1 and avoid heavy loads 
      2. Set up the NC1 in manual mode (always ON) 
      3. Always backup heavy loads on NO2, which will be switched off when solar power is less and to remind homeowners not to connect heavy loads during backup. 

7. Improvements to load control scheduled and advanced mode 
   
   a)Timings of scheduled mode can now be changed during load control. This will ensure that when the system goes off-grid, the connected loads would be switched ON only during the scheduled time

   

   
   b) The advanced mode will include the Battery and Generator based load control  

    

8. ţţ�㷨 Installer App will now recommend provisioning instead of Envoy update in Envoy connectivity step if the existing software version of the connected Envoy is compatible with the system installed. 

   

Feature available for all sites in Australia

1. Only for users in Australia, the toolkit will provide an option add NMI (National meter identifier)

1. The new commissioning workflow contains a new ‘post-commissioning’ section (Step 7) which includes ‘summary report’, ‘Homeowner Walk-through’ and ‘Homeowner access’ steps

   

2. The ITK will now take the user directly to meter configuration and post-commissioning steps after provisioning. The user does not need to go back to main site details screen everytime after completing a step.

   

3. The PLC scan option to identify microinverters has now been moved under Envoy section under ‘Devices and array’ (Step 2)

   

4. Users can now connect to Envoy using the ‘Connect to Envoy via Wi-Fi’ option when Envoy is connected to Enlighten via Ethernet and user wants to connect to Envoy via same Ethernet network

   

5. Installer can now add description when reporting a problem in the application

   

6. iOS users will no longer receive the push notifications daily, they will only get a push notification when there is a new Envoy software available to download.

   1. ‘Validation’ section (Step 6) which includes ‘Meter Validation’, ‘Ensemble Software Update’, ‘Aux contact Validation’ and ‘Functional validation’

   2. ‘post-commissioning’ section (Step 7) which includes ‘summary report’, ‘Homeowner Walk-through’ and ‘Homeowner access’ steps

      

      

2. The ITK will now take the user directly to meter configuration and post-commissioning steps after provisioning. The user does not need to go back to main site details screen everytime after completing a step.

3. Installer Toolkit will now use the same Battery storage module available in Enlighten Manager, this will be available only when the system is online. This will automatically expose charge battery sych issues homeowner face.

   This will automatically expose charge from grid, other tariff enhancements we do in the ENHO app

   

4. Mandatory training will be required for installing following system configurations:

   1. Addition of generator

   Generator

   

5. The ITK will now display images to assist installers to

   1. Turn OFF and Turn on the DC disconnect switch for Encharges

      

      

   2. To identify the comms kit required for Ensemble commissioning

      

6. The toolkit instructions will contain more details to help installers disable manual override and to power on the system

   

7. Installers will be reminded to install the second pair of consumption CTs in the meter wizard for a multiple Envoy Ensemble system with non-microgrid PV connected to main load panel or sub-panel.

   

   

8. Installer can now add ţţ�㷨 IQ Load controller in the system. One IQ Load controller can be used to configure 2 Auxiliary Contacts for Load control.

   

Bug Fixes

• The PV to ESS ratio message will be shown to users installing Ensemble with M series microinverters too

• Fixed the issue where configuring pop-up was not dismissed when the AP mode connection was lost. Also changed the message in the pop-up

1. Installer Toolkit will now recommend grid profile suited for Ensemble system automatically when installing Ensemble storage system with Enpower.

   

2. Installers will now be able to see progress percentage for Ensemble software update when they’re waiting to start functional validation
