For all installers:
Improved site search with autocomplete functionality: The app now features intelligent search with autocomplete suggestions, displaying results dynamically as installers type and supporting partial name matches for faster site search.
- Regional inventory protection (coming soon): To prevent geographical arbitrage, enhanced location validation will be implemented soon. The system verifies serial numbers against installation country locations to ensure devices are activated in their intended markets.
IQ Gateway update and replacement process: The app now automatically initiates cloud upgrades when installing new gateways with older firmware and manages the entire replacement process with status notifications and guided workflow.
- Homeowner access management: Email changes for homeowner accounts are restricted after six months of system operation. To change ownership, homeowners must use the Transfer of Ownership service. Learn more about Transfer of Ownership.
- Production meter enablement: Automated meter state management now disables production meters when microinverters are first added and requires revalidation for existing system configurations.
- CT configuration flexibility: The app now allows switching between Load only and Load with solar modes during CT configuration without restarting the wizard.
For North America, Mexico, and Puerto Rico installers:
Battery configuration enhancement: Improved guidance for battery breaker configuration and oversubscription settings prevents mismatches between DER port selection and battery breaker details.
Storage CT validation: New jumper cable detection in the storage CT wizard checks L2 voltage before battery charge test to prevent misconfiguration and ensure proper system setup.
PV breaker monitoring: The enhanced monitoring system provides clear wiring instructions and automatically clears errors once proper connections are verified.
For APAC and EMEA installers:
- Phase sequence validation: The app now includes a step to verify the grid-side wiring of the IQ System Controller for the correct phase sequence. This check is mandatory for three-phase backup sites.
Upload IQ System Controller checklist: The app advises installers to upload wiring and checklist images of the IQ System Controller for future system diagnostics.
IQ Gateway replacement flow enhancement: The streamlined gateway replacement process in the EMEA/APAC regions now offers clear choices between system extension and replacement with automated validation checks.
Power Export Limit updates: Power control settings have been reorganized with improved PEL configuration for IQ7 systems and streamlined access to ţţ㷨 Power Control features.
Dynamic Load Balancing for IQ EV Charger: The app now supports configuration and power limiting for IQ EV Chargers through dynamic load balancing. The grid interconnection capacity field is mandatory for this feature.
- IQ Energy Router system flexibility: IQ Energy Router support has been extended to allow IQ Battery installations with third-party string inverters, removing the requirement for ţţ㷨 microinverters.
- IQ Combiner Lite management: The app now implements specific microinverter quantity limits based on inverter models, with automated validation during system configuration.
- Consumption meter validation: The ability to use Expert Mode has been removed when polarity issues or zero readings are detected in Consumption CT.

- Device replacement validation: Enhanced security checks during device replacement now validate if devices are already commissioned on other sites before allowing replacement, preventing duplicate installations.

For all installers:
Advanced meter readings from Production and Consumption CTs
- Installers can now view advanced readings, such as Power Factor, on the Meter Configuration page by selecting View Advanced Readings.
- Enable production meter after adding microinverters
- If microinverters are added for the first time, the consumption and production meters will be disabled. If the installer had previously enabled the meters before adding the microinverters, they will need to re-validate them.
Ability to change Consumption CT measuring input
- Installers can now change the Consumption CT configuration between Load only and Load with solar modes while navigating through the wizard.
For North America installers:
Set the default battery mode setting (in Illinois)
The ţţ㷨 Installer App will automatically set the relevant battery mode based on the grid connection type chosen by the installer.
For APAC and EMEA installers:
- Commission the IQ Battery 5P with FlexPhase system in backup and grid-tied mode (in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland)
- Depending on the availability of the new devices, installers can now commission the IQ Battery 5P with FlexPhase, configured as three-phase, for both backup and grid-tied setups.
Commission IQ EV Charger 2 in Europe (country-specific) from the ţţ㷨 Installer App
- The installer can now commission IQ EV Charger 2 in Europe (country-specific) directly from the ţţ㷨 Installer App. The installer can commission, retire, and set ţţ㷨 Power Control to adhere to the grid connection rating.

- The message in one of the Consumption CT wizard's steps has been updated to provide clearer information on the system's behavior.

For all installers:
- Enhancements to post-commissioning steps
The ţţ㷨 Installer App will collapse the commissioning steps after commissioning is complete, making the Monitor and Service menus more prominent.
- Interactive demo guide
- The new App Demo card in the Support section provides access to an interactive guide that demonstrates the features and workflows of the ţţ㷨 Installer App.
This includes configuration-specific demos for different markets, helping installers learn the basic functions of the app.
- Enhanced microinverter communication status
A near real-time (3-5 minutes) grid-voltage display for each microinverter is now provided to verify that the wiring is done correctly.
- Automatic gateway software updates
A mandatory gateway software auto-download is triggered when logging into the ţţ㷨 Installer App. This ensures the latest gateway software is available for commissioning.
For installers in North America:
- Support for Net Metering in Illinois
- For installers commissioning sites in Illinois, the ţţ㷨 Installer App will allow them to Select Grid Connection Type.
Installers can access a guide that helps them select the correct grid connection type.
- Mandatory gateway software upgrade for gateway replacement
- The ţţ㷨 Installer App will suggest mandatory gateway software upgrades during the IQ Gateway replacement process if the replaced gateway is on a higher version than the new gateway.
- Commissioning California 208 V sites with IQ Battery 5P
In California, installers can now commission the IQ Battery 5P on sites with single-phase 208 V, i.e., 120 V L-N, 208 V L-L, and a 3-wire grid supply.
Note: The IQ Battery 5P operates as a non-backup or grid-tied battery on single-phase 208 V supplies. It should not be mistaken for a three-phase 208Y/120 V 4-wire supply, as the IQ Battery 5P does not support 208Y/120 V 4-wire supplies.
- Busbar Overload Control for Main Panel Upgrade Avoidance (MPUA)
- Installers will now have an additional software option called Busbar Overload Control on the Main Panel Upgrade Avoidance page.
This control allows installers to accurately control the charge and discharge of the IQ Batteries based on the component size of the main panel.
- IQ8P Microinverter (IQ8P-72-2-US) commissioning in Mexico
- The IQ8P Microinverter is incompatible with three-phase residential and commercial sites using 220Y/127 V 4-wire grid supply in Mexico. The ţţ㷨 Installer App will block the addition of IQ8P Microinverters for such systems.
For APAC and EMEA installers:
- The ţţ㷨 Installer App will support connections with utility servers in South Australia and Victoria.
Automatically select the consumption phases in the consumption meter wizard when the installer chooses and activates the three-phase production meters.
For IQ EV Charger installations:
- Improved EV charger integration
- Installers can now integrate EV chargers in the ţţ㷨 System and validate their functioning using the ţţ㷨 Installer App.
- Main Breaker Trip Avoidance (MBTA)
- Installers can now enable and configure dynamic load balancing and prevent the main breaker from tripping by limiting the IQ EV Charger capacity during usage.

What’s new
For all installers:
- Consumption meter validation
- While enabling a consumption meter, the ţţ㷨 Installer App will check if the production readings are captured correctly in the production meter for different consumption meter locations (Load with solar or Load only).
- If a wiring error is detected, installers will be blocked from enabling the consumption meter and instructed to fix the error.
- Ability to enable consumption meters in low light conditions
- Installers will be allowed to enable consumption meters even in low light conditions with low solar power production.
- Production meters cannot be enabled with erroneous phase configuration
- Installers will be blocked from enabling a production meter when they mistakenly select a three-phase site configuration as single-phase instead of three-phase.
For installers in the United States commissioning Off-Grid only sites:
- ţţ㷨 Installer App now allows Off-Grid only commissioning
- Installers will be allowed to commission Off-Grid ţţ㷨 Systems.
- Installers are required to complete training to perform the wiring and commissioning of Off-Grid configurations. Click to access the required training

For installers in Europe commissioning IQ Energy Routers:
- IQ Energy Router improvements
- The ţţ㷨 Installer App will automatically establish communication between the IQ Energy Router and the IQ Gateway when an old IQ Gateway is replaced with a new IQ Gateway.
- The new IQ Gateway should be connected to the same network as the IQ Energy Router.

- Faster power production during commissioning
- Microinverters will start producing power within 5 minutes, but every microinverter will produce at a reduced rate.
After generating the summary report, Microinverters will be rebooted once they receive the necessary configurations, and normal operation will be resumed.
- Enhanced CT validation
- Improved checks for zero production and CT location issues across all phases.
- Added new import reduction checks for more accurate system readings.
- Improved IQ Gateway connectivity
- New Connect now and Disconnect now options have been added for easier IQ Gateway management.
There is also an option to disconnect from AP mode for steps requiring internet connectivity.
Streamlined IQ EV Charger connectivity
The process for connecting an IQ EV Charger to the IQ Gateway has been optimized, with clearer steps and improved error handling.
Detection of missing microinverters

For installers in Brazil:
Mandatory use of IQ Relay
Starting in November 2024, an IQ Relay will be mandatory for all new system installations in Brazil to comply with warranty requirements.
For installers in India:
IQ Relay importance notification
There is a new notification emphasizing the importance of adding an IQ Relay for warranty coverage. If an IQ Relay is not used, warranties may be void.
For installers in Europe commissioning IQ Energy Routers:
- IQ Energy Router improvements
- Added support for commissioning IQ Energy Routers with solar-only systems in countries with IQ Energy Management.
- Streamlined the process for IQ Energy Router addition and activation.

- Enhanced checks for zero production and CT location issues have been implemented to ensure accurate system readings.

What’s new
For all installers:
Change in System Type, permitting, and PV Module details
The ţţ㷨 Installer App will require installers to update the System Type, permitting, and PV Module details in Step 1 (System Details) of the commissioning process.
It is recommended that site creation (Step 1) be completed using the new activation form in the ţţ㷨 Installer Portal.
Note: Support for the classic activation page will be removed in the coming weeks.
Ability to create an array without scanning microinverters
Installers will now be able to create an array for an ţţ㷨 system before scanning microinverters. Alternatively, installers can access the Array Builder from the IQ Microinverters details screen.
For installers in North America:
Support for Busbar Overload Control in Main Panel Upgrade Avoidance
Installers will be able to enable and configure Busbar Overload Control inside Main Panel Upgrade Avoidance, in addition to the Current Limit with NEC 120% Rule.
For installers in Australia and New Zealand:
Option to skip meter wizard steps for backup system commissioning
Installers will be allowed to skip the Production Meter and Consumption Meter sub-steps in the validation step if they are commissioning a backup system with an IQ System Controller INT.

More intuitive site search screen
We have revamped the site search screen of the ţţ㷨 Installer App. The improvements are:
a. The new and more intuitive site search screen allows installers to quickly and easily find the sites they need to work on.
b. Installers will see the systems recently worked on at the top of the list, ensuring quick access to current sites without the need for searching.
Enhanced details in the Consumption CT wizard
Installers will now be able to see PV production readings along with consumption readings in the Consumption CT wizard. This will facilitate faster diagnosis in case of wiring errors.
Enhanced troubleshooting for ţţ㷨 Control Cable wiring
If provisioning fails for an IQ System Controller 3/INT or IQ Battery 5P in a 3rd-generation ţţ㷨 System, the app will now provide additional troubleshooting steps to ensure proper wiring of the ţţ㷨 Control Cable.
Multi-gateway commissioning improvement
We have improved the progress bar for multi-gateway systems to show accurate progress in both AP mode and non-AP mode.
Commissioning alerts in low light conditions
Installers will receive an alert highlighting potential issues when attempting to commission a system in low light conditions, such as after sunset.
Validation details in Summary Report
The Summary Report now includes validation details, showing Complete status when validation has been attempted and successfully passed.
For installers in North America:
Merged IQ Gateway software
Multiple IQ Gateway software versions have been consolidated into a single bucket, reducing the software download size in the ţţ㷨 Installer App.
Added non-backup storage commissioning for 208 V sites
The app now allows grid-tied storage commissioning for sites with 208 V grid connections.
Enabled installation of excess PV in third DER port
Installers will now be allowed to install excess PV in the third DER port for backup-only storage configurations.
Permission to Operate (PTO) details on System Details page
In Step 1 (System Details), installers can now indicate if PTO has been received. Based on the input given, installers will be shown steps to disable solar and batteries as necessary or applicable.
[California] Interconnection Application Date now required
Installers now need to provide the interconnection application date when indicating that PTO has been received.
[California] Setting Battery Mode for NEM 3.0 sites
Installers can now set the battery mode for a NEM 3.0 site. They can choose between the Import Only and Export Only options on the battery mode selection page. Installers will have seven days to modify or rectify the battery mode selection, after which the option to change will be disabled.
For installers in Europe and the Middle East:
Disabled PLC scan for cross-communication
Multiple IQ Gateway software versions have been consolidated into a single bucket, reducing the software download size in the ţţ㷨 Installer App.
Functional Validation for IQ Energy Router associated devices (EV chargers and heat pumps)
In countries where the IQ Energy Management is available, installers will have an option to validate if associated peripherals like EV chargers and heat pumps are communicating and working properly.

Error codes for ţţ㷨 system software update failures
When an ţţ㷨 system software update fails, installers will now see the corresponding error codes. These codes can be referred to ţţ㷨 Support for better issue identification.
Improved AP mode connection performance
The performance of the AP mode connection in the Gateway Connectivity page has been enhanced.

New informational pop-up about IQ Battery 3T/10T wiring
We have added guidelines for the recommended wiring procedure for an IQ Battery 3T/10T.
These guidelines appear in a pop-up that also links to the latest IQ Battery 3T/10 quick install guide, as well as a short training video demonstrating , if further instruction is needed.
The pop-up will be shown whenever an IQ Battery 3T/10T is scanned.

We have added an option for installers to add details of third-party storage devices if used along with ţţ㷨 components.

Moved the Replace IQ Gateway feature under Support to the Request return and Install replacement menu within a specific site under Systems
To simplify and streamline the replacement process, users can now only initiate the return of an IQ Gateway by scrolling to the bottom of the page of a particular site on the Systems page, and tapping on the Request return and Install replacement button followed by tapping Replace IQ Gateway. For more detailed instructions, please refer to the Self-service return and replacement technical brief.
Added an option to change Consumption Meter location after the meter is enabled
For sites where a consumption meter has already been enabled, changing the location (Load Only or Load with Solar) is now possible and can be completed on the Meter Configuration page.
Added an option to choose which IQ Gateway is connected to certain storage devices
For sites that contain multiple IQ Gateways, it is now possible on the Devices & Array page to easily configure which storage/backup devices (such as IQ System Controllers, IQ Batteries, and IQ Load Controllers) are connected to each IQ Gateway.
Added confirmation for Permission to Operate
To complete the Functional Validation step, installers must now indicate whether they have received a permit to operate from the utility.
For ţţ㷨 installers in Europe:
Added a walkthrough to configure an IQ Relay
A step-by-step guide is now available within the ţţ㷨 Installer App when the IQ Relay is in the Open state.
What’s fixed
For all ţţ㷨 installers:
- Prevented Auxiliary Contact Validation and Functional Validation if the production and consumption meters are enabled through the ţţ㷨 Installer Portal but not enabled on the ţţ㷨 Installer App.
- Fixed an issue where the homeowner walkthrough is marked as completed when an IQ System Controller or IQ Battery is added to an existing PV-only system.
- Fixed commissioning discrepancies for systems with multiple IQ Gateways by making the steps completed on one IQ Gateway visible to the second IQ Gateway.
- Fixed an issue where the phase details of an IQ Battery were not sent to the IQ Gateway during provisioning.

The site status screen now includes a button for convenient connection and disconnection from an IQ Gateway using AP mode.

Automated device scan and troubleshooting
When an installer attempts provisioning, a device scan check is now performed. If any devices remain unscanned, the system will display the details of those devices. The installer will then have the option to proceed and complete the missing device scans.

Introduced a troubleshooting guide for mobile device connectivity issues in AP Mode
A step-by-step troubleshooting guide has been added for situations where a mobile device encounters difficulty connecting to an IQ Gateway in AP mode.

Simplified Grid Profile selection
The ţţ㷨 Installer App now includes an automatic selection feature for the recommended Grid Profile based on the site location after IQ Gateway scanning. This eliminates the need to manually select the profile from a screen. If the recommended Grid Profile is not available, the app will automatically choose the default Grid Profile and bypass the selection screen.

Improved reliability for Functional Validation
Functional Validation can now be performed even in cases where microinverters are not generating power and the meter was previously enabled through the ţţ㷨 Installer Platform. A warning message is now displayed to ensure proper installation of the meter.

Added an automated polarity verification check
The ţţ㷨 Installer App will automatically verify polarity of the production meter when selecting the “I am an expert” option. If a polarity error is detected, a message will alert the user. The ţţ㷨 Installer app will show a warning indicating no production if the production value is less than 10 watts.

Added an option to indicate 3rd party storage devices on a site
For ţţ㷨 systems that include 3rd party battery devices, they can not be added to the System details screen in Step 1. Note : ţţ㷨 does not recommend mixing third party storage with ţţ㷨 energy system. It may impact the operation.

Fixed an issue where Step 2b in the ţţ㷨 Installer App was incorrectly shown as completed when no auxiliary contacts were configured.

- Always connect non-heavy loads on NC1 and avoid heavy loads
- Set up the NC1 in manual mode (always ON)
- Always backup heavy loads on NO2, which will be switched off when solar power is less and to remind homeowners not to connect heavy loads during backup.
- Sunlight Backup systems will require 2 ţţ㷨 IQ Load Controllers and one aux contact configured for load shedding.

Improvements to load control scheduled and advanced mode
a)Timings of scheduled mode can now be changed during load control. This will ensure that when the system goes off-grid, the connected loads would be switched ON only during the scheduled time
b) The advanced mode will include the Battery and Generator based load control -
ţţ㷨 Installer App will now recommend provisioning instead of Envoy update in Envoy connectivity step if the existing software version of the connected Envoy is compatible with the system installed.
