An ţţËã·¨ Solar Only system with IQ7 Series Microinverters is perfect for homeowners who want to save money on their utility bills, are less concerned about grid outages, and want to use the solar energy they produce to power their homes. Solar Only systems can be upgraded to Home Essentials Backup or Full Energy Independence at any point in the future.
In this configuration, the IQ7 Series Microinverters operate in a grid interactive mode. The system does not provide any backup and offers economic savings by using solar power to offset the customer’s consumption from the grid. Excess solar power can be exported back to grid when allowed by utilities and local Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs).

The IQ Combiner consolidates interconnection equipment into a single enclosure and streamlines PV and storage installations by providing a consistent, pre-wired solution for residential applications. The IQ Combiner 3C-ES has an integrated 4G LTE CAT M1 cellular modem while IQ Combiner 3-ES does not.

To add battery backup functionality more easily in the future, leave adequate space in the installation area for an IQ System Controller 2 or IQ System Controller when designing the system.
IQ Combiner 3-ES and 3C-ES support hold down kits on two solar branch circuits while IQ Combiner 4 and IQ Combiner 4C support hold down kits on four circuits. However, IQ7 Series systems in backup configuration do not require hold down kits.
You do not need to update IQ Gateway software while commissioning IQ7 Series Solar Only systems.
